Fake septum rings

No longer just the favourite of 2005 scene kids and hardcore metal-heads, the septum ring has become increasingly popular in the last few months, with Lady Gaga, Zoƫ Kravitz and Rihanna seen sporting them recently.

Reviews are mixed, the healing process is around 10-12 weeks which is a long time if you’re unsure or want a prettier,more decorative ring straight off. The main thing that has put me off getting one done for real is that I work with the public all day every day and I don’t want a fresh, healing piercing on my face whilst at work. Especially with the air-con/heating drying my skin out!

So I got for alternatives. Personally I prefer the more plain looking rings on myself. The one I use costs just £3.50 in Claires and everyone is always asking me if it hurt and where I got it pierced whilst I’m at work, so I’m thinking that no one can really tell the difference. Sure if they had a good old stare up my nostrils they might notice, but it’s not gonna happen.

I also never had to worry about it being pierced in the wrong place as I can shove it in whatever position that I want it.

Decorative ones cost a little more;

But if you’re looking to re-create your favourite celeb’s look without the pain then this is a pretty good option!

New Summer Merch instore!

Never underestimate how much I love new stock coming into store. When I used to merchandise for the menswear department at Debenhams the new season stock arriving was my favourite part. A whole fresh look for the store, new themes and colours and this time of year really beginning to feel like Spring is about to arrive!

Now I’ve moved on to Claires. My love of accessories is fueled by this store!

Our new stock is starting to arrive (prepare for a mid-season sale to make room!). I was working on the hair this week, our floral game is strong!

We also sell those pink and blue wig in store, they’re so pretty with the floral crowns and butterfly clips added, perfect for anyone who would love bright hair every now and then!

Mint.

I probably spend too much time thinking about the next shade for my hair.

But this mint thing is where I'm at right now. It's taken a while to get the shade just right. I think Bleach London has been the biggest let down on this journey. Don't get me wrong, I love their white toner and the conditioner that comes with it smells beautiful, but none of their hair colours last more than a couple of washes.
So now I'm settled on Turquoise by Directions, pretty heavily diluted (I'd say 1:10 dye to conditioner ratio - maybe slightly stronger?) on bleached white hair.
It's starting to go a bit green-y at the roots because I was lazy and didn't bother toning it to white after bleaching it.
Thoughts?
